Does A Pap Smear Delay Period

Favorites: Carly and vain man

A time to reclaim pop gems.
perfect songs hidden in the back of an album, sadly
or abandoned over time ...

... today: Carly and vain man.

acknowledge that I met Carly Simon too late.
was in 1988 when he won the Oscar for best song for "Let the river run" , a wonderful theme that wiped out the years, and grazing operations karaokes and triumph.

One day I found by chance "No Secrets" on vinyl, and bought it blind, for a look. He was at first heard when I discovered the real Carly Simon: an outstanding singer who also writes songs great, some very well known, but so far I did not know they were theirs.
The fact that Carly is one of those singers and writers who travel through the exquisite melodic and deeply American pop, leaving perfect songs in memory of all.

So "You're so vain" , the main topic of "No Secrets" (1972), soon became one of my favorites. Later I learned of the legend surrounding this song, and that if the author wrote it as a reproach to a proud lover, and if your letter gets ingeniously circles around Mick Jagger or Warren Beatty or who knows how stupid lover, whose name she never wanted to clarify, precisely in order not to offend their own chorus ... Better yet, if this bit of the song also serves to put each one in its place.

so vain

Logged
walking in the party like you're walking by a yacht your hat strategically

eye fell on a peach and your handkerchief.
You had one eye in the mirror
like you referred to the dance, and all the girls

dreamed of being your partner to be your partner
y. ..

're so vain,
probably think this song is about you.
're so vain,
bet you think this song is about you.
do so? How so?

had me several years
when I was still naive.
said you did so good couples
and never leave me.

But let the things you loved,
and one of them was me.

I had dreams that were like clouds in the coffee, clouds in the coffee
y. ..

're so vain,
probably think this song is about you.
're so vain, I bet
to think this song is about you.
What if? What if?

Well, I heard that you went to Saratoga,
and your horse, of course, won.
So your jet flew to Nova Scotia,
to view the total solar eclipse.

Well, now you're where you should have to be always
and when you're not, you're with some underworld spy or the wife
a good friend,
the wife of a good friend y. ..

're so vain,
probably think this song is about you.
're so vain,
bet you think this song is about you.
What if? At what yes?

(thanks to my friend Elizabeth, who has led me for the occasion)
