What Does A Sprint Text Message Log Look Like

Favorites: Roberto Carlos sad and blue

A time to reclaim pop gems.
perfect songs hidden in the back of an album, sadly
or abandoned over time ...

... today: Roberto carlos sad and blue.

"The cat is sad and blue." Roberto Carlos. TVE. 1972

My sister always loved Lola. And me too. Roberto Carlos was a unique singer, a full-blown romantic kitsch but did not sing beautiful melodies perfect text. A guy a bit ugly and rather insignificant, with his limp clear singing voice with a Brazilian accent and soft, like whispering. My sister always loved Lola "The Sad and Blue" . And me too. The single had a CBS child I listened to almost daily, and in this English edition B-side included another gem called "Details" . Both songs were part of my life for so many years already has its place in it forever.

Then in the 80, Roberto Carlos had several hits that I kept and without much enthusiasm. Over time I discovered accidentally that "The cat is sad and blue" was a rarity in his discography, as it was a foreign subject, composed to be sung by him in the San Remo Festival, the original in Italian called "A gatto nel blu" .

Things

the information age, sometimes crashing off the myths to discover a dark side. The fact that Roberto Carlos was invited several times to the Festival of ViƱa del Mar, and that even the 1975 edition dedicated to the wife of dictator Pinochet of her performances is no accident. Apparently the Brazilian singer hiding behind her beautiful songs ultraconservative ideology and deeply anti-communist. Sure my sister Lola cost him a disgust to recognize this. And me too.

But the fact is that Roberto Carlos is a first class performer, with style and personality that has given the world some of the most beautiful songs have been able to hear. As "Attitudes" , my favorite.
