hate Christmas. But the hatred of truth, do not plan "I'm more modern as I am above such things" .
I have very good reasons to hate: Christmas is very tacky, but much, yet lacks the charm of kitsch style. And worst of all ... this need to have fun, party excessive and unrestrained joy that irritates me and makes me cranky.
hate Christmas, I hate Christmas music and hate "The Little Drummer Boy" , in Spain seems to have invented Raphael, but it's a classic American holiday since the mid-fifties in versionea the most diverse styles. A horror. Always displayed an irrepressible desire to strangle who sings it.
In 1977 Bing Crosby offered to be his umpteenth but last Christmas special for television and the world. And of course could not miss "Little Drummer Boy" , and exactly at the moment when you felt the need to give a blow to that old syrupy, David Bowie appeared and began to sing a duet of such a thing, as if Ziggy had been made boy scout. Until we break the original topic, it singing about "Peace on Earth" , entuisiasmo not recovered. Incredible, but now looks like a sampled loop that serves as a base for sweet Bowie track.

While Bing Crosby was going to die, Bowie needed revive, change their public image of Nazi cokehead, and reinvent itself once again. His presence at that particular creaked from any angle, but appear to be loaded "Little Drummer Boy" , singing other things on their original stanzas, it was pure transgression. Or does anyone imagine a Nacho Vegas decadent murmuring phrases while Raphael it leads to a "ropopompón" after another? There have always been classes. I love this
"Peace On Earth / Little Drummer Boy" , and I think that is one of the greatest moments in popular music history. Five years later, in 1982, the topic appeared in single format and was a resounding No. 1. And then the hurt of the exquisite Bowie Berlin trilogy, or disturbing genius "Scary Monsters" , was about to regain the luster of the past and become a big media star, much less creative, but billionaire. A genius lost, it would not recover until well into the 90's.
